justicia

Luciano Benjamin Menendez, one of the most terrible and most feared of all the military leaders during the Dirty War, was sentenced today to life in prison for all the tortures, murders and "disappearances" he directly caused.

His trial has been going on in Córdoba for a while now, where family members of victims and victims themselves testified. Thousands were present to witness the verdict or watched on live T.V., and the verdict is sweet sweet justice. Not only is Menendez condemned to prison for life, but to a regular ol' prison with hardened criminals, shitty meals, and only one visit a week. He won't get the luxury of resting in his home or a fancy prison.

Finally--30 years later--justice.
