Today La Universidad Católica de Córdoba put on a mini international fair to get students interested in studying abroad, and they offered us intercambios the opportunity to set up tables by country and showcase our universities. Roger (Iowa State), Kelly (U. Tennessee) and I had a nice little setup going, with an American flag blanket draped over our table, a slideshow of pictures of San Francisco (courtesy of me), Bob Dylan music playing, and of COURSE, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. (Notice the trend throughout this blog?). It was so funny seeing people´s faces as they asked us, what is this stuff? And we explained it´s typical American cuisine, at the most simple yet most delicious state. Some people hated it, some people liked it. Some, who had been to the states, thanked us profusely for feeding them joy on a sandwhich.
We also wanted to put up a huge picture of BARACK OBAMA BECAUSE HE IS GOING TO BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT but alas, we didn´t have one. But, GO OBAMA!!!!
I watched his speech last night, and man. MAN. He´s got the goods. This country needs him.
